What a guy! Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is making life a little easier for youth hockey players who aspire to follow in his footsteps and one day make it big in the NHL.
Price, knows all too well just how expensive youth hockey equipment can be for those starting out, so he teamed up CCM (equipment manufacturer), sending thousands of dollars worth of hockey equipment (skates, sticks, helmets, pads, etc) to youth in the area where the Hab’s goalie superstar got his start…in Williams Lake BC! The supplies was spread out & delivered to the Williams Lake Minor Hockey Association (Price played through that Association from age 9 to 15), he also donated to 3 First Nations communities, the local Boys and Girls Club, KidSport, JumpStart and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The administrator of the minor hockey program, Pam Povelofskie, says players and parents are thrilled that “tired and tattered” gear will be replaced for “about 18 house league teams”.
