Local colleges are reporting the number of students who decided to take a full tuition refund this semester.

College Boreal are reporting their early numbers at over 220 students but say they will be issuing a news release next week after they evaluate the forms and see who all qualifies.

Cambrian College took a hit of 610 students and had to pay approximately 1.4 million in tuition refunds.

It could be another week before the province reveals the full number of students who are seeking a tuition refund following a five-week college strike.

Tuesday was the deadline for students to apply for a refund.
