After days of mourning and darkness, the Eiffel Tower in Paris is lit with the blue, white and red colors of the French flag and a projection of Paris’s city motto “Fluctuat Nec Mergitur,” which means tossed by the waves but does not sink. The monument was initially closed to tourists with all lights turned off following the attacks as a sign of respect. Matthew McConaughey is in early talks to play the main villain in the film, “The Dark Tower” Sony Pictures highly anticipated adaptation of the fantasy novel by Stephen King.

The Oscar-winning actor will work alongside director Nikolaj Arcel and writer Jeff Pinker. McConaughey will reportedly play Walter Padick, better known as the Man in Black.

McConaughey was last movie was Interstellarwith The Dark Tower scheduled to hit theaters Jan. 13, 2017.
