It’s been one year since Brian Bigger was elected Mayor of the City of Greater Sudbury.

He and the rest of the city councillors are marking the anniversary by looking back on their accomplishments from the past twelve months.

Last December started off with the council’s decision to repeal restrictions on store hours.

That helped them hit the ground running.

Mayor Brian Bigger says he’s proud of everything they’ve been able to do in that time.

He is thrilled many of his election campaign promises were approved, like freezing the tax rate for residents.

Other major highlights for the city included hosting Amazing Race Canada and Rogers Hometown Hockey…plus being named the Happiest City in the country.
