Disney is hoping to shoot a live-action re-imagining of 101 Dalmatians. Although the studio has no director at this point, it looks like Emma Stone could be in talks to play Cruella de Vil, the villain who is crazy about capturing the dalmatians in the original 1961 animated classic. Emma Stone has big shoes to fill, as Glenn Close played her in the 1996 live-action film produced by John Hughes.

Adam Lambert may not have won American Idol back in 2008,  but he is the top-earning American Idol out of all of the alums. Earning $10 million in 2015 – Lambert made more than any other American Idol contestant, including past champions Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery. This, from Forbes – who released its annual lists of top earners yesterday. Lambert’s financial success could be because he played live shows with Queen when filling in for the late, legendary front man Freddie Mercury. Carrie Underwood finished second in the list of top earners, bringing in a cool $8 million dollars. In third place is Chris Daughtry.

Amy Winehouse may have died from alcohol poisoning at the age of 27 back in 2011, but her 60 year old mother, Janis Winehouse-Collins thinks the singer may have suffered from the neurological disorder, Tourette Syndrome. She tells People:

“She could well have been almost Tourette’s, where she would just shout things out…We just do not know”

Her mom has written a new memoir, Loving Amy: A Mother’s Story, which comes out in hardcover next Tuesday, January 12th. She says the memoir is a way for her to always remember the little girl she raised and absolutely adored before her devastating spiral into alcohol and drug addiction. Janis looks back to Amy as a child, remembering her as “gifted” but adding that she thinks Amy “was a special-needs kid in that she was so intelligent. She was so gifted, living in a world where she just wasn’t average, where she didn’t quite fit in. But it was a great life lived.”

Fifty Shades of Grey actress and daughter of Melanie Griffith is calling out the “brutal” film industry for it’s problem with ageism. Specifically, she is referring to why nobody can find work for mother, Melanie Griffith, and grandmother Tippi Hedren. Griffith was once the top earning and best-known Oscar-winning actress in Hollywood, but things have changed. In the process of promoting her new film “Black Mass”, 26-year-old Johnson told Vogue UK that she often worries about her future in Hollywood, but says it’s even tougher for 58 year old Griffith and 85 year old Hedren.

“Why isn’t my mother in the movies? She’s an extraordinary actress…Why isn’t my grandmother in the movies? This industry is f*cking brutal,” she explains.

“No matter how tough you are, sometimes there’s the feeling of not being wanted. It’s absurd and cut-throat. Whenever I have downtime, I’m unsure that I will ever work again. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a definite thing that happens to me.”
