Health Sciences North continues to improve the overall patient experience.

The 14-members of the CEO Patient and Family Advisory Council served on 15 hospital committees and took part in 14 improvement initiatives.

Some of the improvements the council has been involved with include shorter wait times for pacemaker insertions and improved communications about the purpose and possible side effects of medications.

The council is out with it’s 2015 year-end report amd Co-Chair Nick Dominelli says the patients voice is being heard because they are being listened to by hospital staff.

The council reports directly to HSN President and CEO Dr. Denis Roy.
