Greater Sudbury Police serve and protect all creatures in our city….even little furry ones.

Two officers rescued a small dog from the harsh winter elements Tuesday morning, along Dufferin Street (off Beatty Street).

They took the little guy to the Walden Animal Hospital since he was dirty, matted and in poor health.

The dog, which has been temporarily named “Muffin Man”, will remain at the facility for three days so his owner can claim him.

If no one shows in that time then the dog will be put up for adoption.

There’s already been a huge response from the community since the rescue was posted on both the Greater Sudbury Police Services’ and the Walden Animal Hospital’s Facebook pages.
