Police have identified two of the three victims in Tuesday’s plane crash south of Sudbury, near the French and Pickerel Rivers.

The pilot was 64-year old Joseph Arseneau, a well-known lawyer in Sudbury.

His wife 65-year old Mary-Lou Arseneau was also killed when the Piper aircraft experienced engine trouble and crashed in a desolate rugged location.

OPP say the third victim won’t be identified until after post-mortem results are completed.

The Transportation Safety Board continues to look into what brought the plane down
