Crews are working on cleaning up an oil spill in Junction Creek, in the downtown area.

The city is working with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to determine where the oil came from.

There appears to be around 25 litres of oil, however final numbers have not been determined.

Arrangements are underway to collect and remove the oil from the waterway.

Junction Creek is not part of the City of Greater Sudbury’s municipal drinking water system.
