Nine local projects got some funding thanks to a competition held by Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury.

Citizens throughout Sudbury voted on 23 different projects and the nine with the most votes won, Project Impact

The winners announced Tuesday, with successful entries each getting up to $500 for their respective initiatives.

Among the winners were the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum for a mural in Capreol, Ryan Heights Neighbourhood Association for a butterfly garden and habitat project and Junction Creek Stewardship Committee for murals along the waterway.

The initiative is meant to support small projects that make a big difference in our community.
