Health care workers and concerned citizens held a Day of Action to protest cuts to the health care in the Northeast.

A couple of hundred people from Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins and Sault Ste. Marie gathered during the noon hour in front of Sudbury M-P-P Glenn Thibeault’s office.

Anne Marie MacInnis, a member of the Sudbury Health Care Coalition and President of Mine Mill 590 Unifor says the government has to start listening.

She says hospitals in Ontario have been cut more deeply than anywhere in Canada.

Natalie Mehra,  the Executive Director of the Ontario Health Coalition says the northeast is being hit harder than other parts of the province.
