Red Cross

The Canadian Red Cross was one of the first organizations to begin the Nepal Earthquake Relief efforts.

It’s mobile field hospital has already been sent, where it will co-ordinate with other teams and provide aid to mothers and children.

Meantime, David St. George, the community services coordinator with the Sudbury Branch of the Red Cross says right now the best way local residents can help is by making a cash donation that will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Canadian government up to May 25th

St. George says local relief workers are ready to head to Nepal if needed, but so far that call hasn’t come.
