Greater Sudbury Police say a motorcycle collision has claimed the life of a 44-year old man on Maley Drive.

Police say around 11:30 pm, the driver of the motorcycle was involved in a single vehicle collision at the Lansing Avenue roundabout.

Maley Drive was closed for over six hours after the crash from Falconbridge to Barrydowne.

Upon arrival, paramedics located the driver and lone occupant of the motorcycle unresponsive.

The driver, whose name will not be released, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say they have determined the motorcycle was heading eastbound when the driver lost control of the bike.
