LLSigns

There’s a new trail head at the entrance to the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area on South Bay Road.

Conservation Sudbury has started a fundraising campaign to raise over $200,000 to install more signs throughout the 2,400 acres of protected green space.

Chair Lin Gibson says the signs will help users navigate the 60-kilometres of trails.

Chair of Friends of Lake Laurentian, Mark Signoretti, says there have been several instances of users getting lost in the conservation area.

It’s hoped the new signage will help improve safety and make hiking, cycling or running through the habitat more enjoyable.

Sudbury Conservation is now looking for sponsors for each sign and expects to have them all installed by the end of the year.
