One person is dead after a fire at an apartment building on Parry Sound Road in Parry Sound.

The local fire department responded around 1:30am Friday and crews were able to put out the flames.

But it wasn’t until afterwards that investigators found the body in one of the three apartment units.

Both West Parry Sound O-P-P and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office are looking into the cause.

The victim has not yet been identified.
