Sudbury will be celebrating this afternoon.

That will mean some traffic delays as the Pan Am Torch makes its way through the city.

The torch relay is set to start at 6:15pm at the corner of Elm and Ethelbert.

Torchbearers will making their way along Elm Street to Paris, across the Bridge of Nations and finally ending at the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre.

That’s where the cauldron will be lit.

That community celebration begins in Bell Park at 5:30pm with food, entertainment and children’s activities.

The Pan Am flame is traveling through 31 communities on its way to Toronto in July for the start of the Pan Am Games.
