UPDATE: Missing Elderly Couple - Husband Found Dead

By Stew KernanA tragic turn in the case of a missing elderly Sudbury couple.

Police say 77-year old Boyd Lynds was found dead yesterday, but the search continues for his wife, 73-year old Gail Lynds.

No other information has been released, but police say there is no risk to the public and they are assisting the Coroner with the investigation.

Boyd Lynds was last seen in Wahnapitae around midnight Monday while Gail was seen at 6am Tuesday at their Sudbury home near the 4 corners.

There have been reports a burned-out truck belonging to Lynds was found on the side of the road in Wanup Tuesday morning near property owned by the couple, but police have not said if that is connected to the missing persons case.

Police are looking for the Lynds Blue Dodge Caravan with Ontario licence plate BRDX 440.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
