The city is looking to the public for ideas on where the municipality can save money.

Project Six Million is a team of 14-city staff members who are reviewing ideas to achieve a specific target in operational savings for the 2016 budget.

Six-million dollars is the amount which was taken from the city’s reserve funds to achieve a no-tax increase in this year’s budget.

Director of Economic Development and Project Lead, Ian Wood, says no idea is too small.

He says it will be a collection of items that help make up the six million dollars.

All submission should be emailed to cgsideas@greatersudbury.ca by July 31st.

This gives the team enough time to review all the suggestions before major work begins on next year’s budget.
