Greater Sudbury Mayor Brian Bigger will provide an update later today on a scandal that’s plagued city hall for more than five years.

Bigger campaigned on making public a forensic audit into the Transit Ticket Scandal.

There are still questions about the contract held between 2004 and 2009.

A company owned by Tony Sharma, managed the ticket kiosk at the city’s transit terminal, downtown.

It’s believed during the length of the contract municipal procedures were not followed and money still remains missing.

OPP did investigate the case, but could not lay criminal charges because the contract was extended by the city.
