OPP Focuses On Speeding During Canada Day Week

This week will be a busy one for travellers on provincial roads and OPP will be out ensuring the week is a safe one.

Police will focus on reducing the number of road deaths which sits at 129 for the year.

Sudbury OPP Constable Don Bissonnette says officers will be putting a strong focus on speeding with a week long Aggressive Driving campaign.

Since June 21st, 28 people have died in collisions where speed was a factor, which surpasses both distracted and alcohol.
Bissonnette says police will also have a strong presence on local water-ways and trails.
