Mexico has mounted an all-out manhunt after its most powerful drug kingpin, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, escaped from a maximum security prison through a one-mile tunnel from a small opening in the shower area of his cell on Saturday July 11th.
Mexican officials had vowed following Guzman’s re-capture last year after another prison break that he wouldn’t again escape from one of the country’s most secure prisons.
Thirty employees of the Altiplano prison where Guzman had been jailed have been taken in for questioning.
National Security Commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubio said Guzman, who headed the Sinaloa Cartel, climbed down a 30-foot hole that connected with a tunnel about 5 feet, 6 inches high that was fully ventilated and had lighting. The tunnel ended in a barn-like building in a farm field.

Camille Cosby is apparently standing by Bill’s side even after his 2005 deposition admitting to drugging women has become public.
Sources tell Page Six that she is denying that he is a rapist and believes that his infidelity is a private matter.
One insider said, “Camille is well aware of his cheating, but she doesn’t believe that her husband is a rapist.”
Another source said, “Mrs. Cosby is a proud, dignified but stubborn woman. You can say that she’s standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she’s done to make him a star.
She allegedly told a friend, “You have to allow for space to let your partner do what he wants. I have done that and Bill has done that and there’s no jealously, no friction. Camille is also Bill’s business manager and reportedly held a crisis meeting last week with all of his advisers where she said, “I created him, I knew what I was getting and we’ll fix this.
