All children can now play at the Kin Park Playground on Langdon Street in Blezard Valley, thanks to recent improvements.

The neighbourhood is one of the fastest growing communities in Greater Sudbury, and the previous play area needed to upgrades to make it fully accessible.

Communications Officer for Greater Sudbury Shelley Ahmed says over $115,000 in various funds helped make it possible.

The majority was paid for through a Trillium Foundation grant.

However money also came from the municipality and from the Kin Club of Valley East.

Upgrades were also made to the nearby field house, to provide an accessible entrance, washrooms and kitchen.

The accessible playground opened on Canada Day, but Wednesday was the official ribbon cutting.
