Sudbury’s Mayor got an inside look at the March of Dimes’ Wade Hampton House on Bancroft Drive this morning.

The personal tour was to provide Brian Bigger with information on what goes on at the home and for staff to give the Mayor details on the construction and one-million dollar capitol plans, for a second building.

Bigger says he can’t offer municipal financial help just yet, but did want to offer his personal support for the work the staff is doing.

The Mayor says it’s too early to seek out municipal funding for this new building, but he believes there are several funding avenues the March of Dimes can look into.

There are 25 people on a wait-list to get into the family.

The Wade Hampton House provides 24-hour care for residents who have acquired brain injuries and is the only one of its kind in Northeastern Ontario.
