Officials with First Nickel and Mine Mill Local 598/UNifor were looking into what caused an explosion Sunday morning underground at Lockerby Mine in Sudbury.

One worker suffered minor injuries but few other details have been released.

The mining company does not run a Sunday shift at the mine, so the assessment was to have happened Monday.

Operations were back to normal yesterday.
