A 34-year old woman from Magnetawan First Nation faces charges in connection to a fatal crash on Highway 69, almost two weeks ago near Point au Baril.

According to West Parry Sound O-P-P, a northbound pick-up tried to pass two camper trucks, then swerved to miss an oncoming SUV, causing the SUV to lose control and hit one of the campers head-on.

The driver and passenger in the SUV were killed and four others were injured.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Heather Noganosh, is charged with two counts of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, two counts of Causing Death by Criminal Negligence, Criminal Negligence causing Bodily Harm and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm.

She will appear in Parry Sound court, September 17.
