The Sudbury Wolves have opened training camp.

The 50 players hit the ice this afternoon in a series of practices with scrimmages tomorrow as the camp is divided up into three teams.

Coming off being a 3rd round selection of the Phoenix Coyotes in June’s NHL draft is defenseman Kyle Capobiano who says training camp should be pretty competitive.

David Matsos is entering his third first training camp with the local juniors, but his first as head coach…he says there are no roster spots guaranteed.

The annual Blue and White game goes Saturday morning at 9:30 followed by an exhibition game against the North Bay Battalion Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
