The Union of Ontario Indians has thrown its support behind the plans to build a pediatric outpatient clinic at Health Sciences North.

In a letter, Patrick Madahbee, the Grand Council Grand Chief says they fully support the plans for the expansion of NEO Kids.

The Union represents 39 First Nations across the province, many of which are within the Northeast part of the province.

The NEOKids project would reduce travel time for Northern families who currently have to go down south for pediatric medical appointments.
