Introducing The KiSS Summer Crew

Chelsea

Since before I could talk I’ve always been humming and singing along to any kind of music I can get my hands on.  Throughout my 20 years, I have had the honor of singing at many events, including the Kiwanis music festival where I achieved many place awards.  The radio station is nothing new to me.  When I was younger, my dad and my aunt both used to work in the radio media scene, and I would often visit and get to see all the ins and outs.  Two years ago I moved to Ottawa for school, but then returned back home to Sudbury to peruse my career in Nursing at Laurentian University and Cambrian College.  I love working with kids, and enjoy my time as a day camp director in the summers, and teaching swimming lessons and life guarding during the school year.  I hope to one day work with children as a paediatric nurse.  When I am not working or studying, I spend most of my time adventuring with my boyfriend, baking brownies, or beating my younger sisters in baseball and Disney Karaoke.

I am more than excited to work with KiSS 105.3 this summer!

Keira

My broad taste in music comes from my crazy family. While my mother subscribes to a steady diet of classical, jazz, and country, my brother made it his mission to introduce me to rap and rock at arguably too young of an age. This bullying allowed me to develop a musical appreciation that continues to expand and evolve. In 2014 I moved from Guelph to Sudbury to further my education and pursue a career in media. I am finally looking towards the finish line of a four year program that will earn me a degree in Communication Studies from Laurentian University and a graduate certificate in Public Relations from Cambrian College. If I’m not working, I’m at the gym with friends or rewarding myself with cookie dough ice cream. I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to combine my love of journalism and music while working with such a fun team!

Taylor

I am 19 years old and currently attending Laurentian University going into my third year of Kinesiology. In the future, I aspire to be a physiotherapist because when I was a dancer, I sustained an injury that prevented me from doing what I love. Physiotherapy can be extremely beneficial for all sports enthusiasts. Dance has been a part of my life since I was 2 years old and I continue to share my passion for dance as a dance teacher. I love working with kids and I have a niece that I just love to spend time with. I am a Northern Ontario girl who loves the outdoors and can make a pretty mean fire. I am looking forward to working with the 92.7 ROCK team, attending events and meeting new people throughout this summer! I spend my off time going to the gym, spending time with my family and friends, and watching Netflix

Sara-Jo

My love for music began at a very young age. Growing up I danced for many years, which is where I was exposed to all different genres of music. Some of my favourite memories include Tom Petty, Pink Floyd and Dire Straits blasting in our house hold, causing sing alongs and dance offs between my siblings and I. In the fall, I’ll be entering my third year of Business Administration at Laurentian University. When I’m not working or studying, you can find me in the gym playing volleyball or hanging out with my favourite little puppy
