Johnston Returned As Airport CEO; City Assigns New Interim CAO

The city has a new interim CAO again after Bob Johnston was returned to his position as Chief Executive Officer at the Greater Sudbury Airport Development Corporation.

He had been filling in as the municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer for the past five months.

Mayor Brian Bigger says Johnston helped make decisions on several key initiatives.

Taking over the role on an interim basis -until a permanent CAO is hired- is Kevin Fowke, who is the city’s Director of Human Resources.

The C-A-O’s job became vacant in April after the city announced Doug Nadorozny no longer worked for the municipality, but it was never made clear which party made the decision.
