Best known for his role as Xander Harris in the television series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actor Nicholas Brendon is in more trouble with the law. Brendon was arrested in Saratoga Springs, New York after allegedly choking his girlfriend during an argument. Sources say police were called to a hotel around 11:30 p.m. for a domestic disturbance report. “We got to the room and we found a 33-year-old female there by herself, and she reported that she had been in a domestic incident with Nick, and he had subsequently left before we got there. She did not have any physical injuries that we were aware of,” said Lieut. Bob Jillson of the Saratoga Springs Police Department. The woman allegedly told police that she had visited Brendon to give him some of his belongings back and when she tried to leave, he took her car keys, smashed her phone and choked her. Police tracked Brendon down a few streets away from the hotel, where he was later charged with two counts of criminal mischief, one count of obstruction of breathing, and one count of robbery in the third degree. Nicholas Brendon spent the night in jail but has since been released on bail.
This is the 4th time this year he has been arrested and he recently walked off Dr Phil show after faced with questions regarding his sobriety.

Ottawa is in a period of mourning after a legendary broadcaster and beloved community leader passed away yesterday. After a long battle with cancer, Max Keeping died at the age of 73. Keeping was anchor of CTV Ottawa and became the most watched broadcaster in Eastern Ontario. Max Keeping’s show had up to 5 times more viewers than CBC News. Keeping was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and had four organs removed in 2012. Last March, Max told the world that he was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer. Those close to him say it was important to him to bring awareness to others, urging everyone to screen themselves for early detection of cancer. The health problems continued… last May, doctors discovered a tumor in Keeping’s brain. While the tumor was removed it caused him partial paralysis and 3 months later, Max was barely able to speak. Despite all the health hardships, Max Keeping still managed to “live life to the max.”
