Wednesday, October 7th is #DayOfChange! Comb through your couch cracks & collect your coins to help change lives for Ronald McDonald House Charities “Day of Change”. Drop your generous donations off in the coin box at any Sudbury McDonalds & help families of sick children. Your small change can make a big difference, whether it’s nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies or toonies. Ronald McDonald Houses  provides a home for families while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital.

This year marks 35 years since the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House in Canada, and the RMHC’s support of sick children and their families is now needed more than ever.

Since the first Canadian Ronald McDonald House opened in 1981, over 292,253 children and their families have been supported.

By the end of 2015, Ronald McDonald Houses and their programs will serve approximately 27,000 Canadian families.

470 families stay at a Ronald McDonald House in Canada each night.

There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses, 11 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and two Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles in Canada.
