In an exclusive tell-all, which aired during the Battle Rounds on The Voice, both Adam and Julia (who is also Adam’s battle adviser) dished on the song-making process.  Adam explains, “I heard a demo of it.  It was Diplo who said, “Hey, check this out!”.  He sent me this song and I was like, “Who the F is this” and I was blown away, I thought it was one of the coolest demos I’ve ever heard.”

And how would you describe ‘Help Me Out’? Adam says, “It’s pure, vulnerable, it’s real, it’s raw and it’s emotional.”  Adam also reveals, “I really think that the fact that it became a duet between the two of us, really played with the song, strength wise.  It’s like what every pop song should be, fun, light and dark all at the same time.”

And let’s be real, Adam is no stranger when it comes to falsetto but he admits that he was nervous to hit the same notes Julia does in the song, “That’s the highest note I think I might’ve ever hit in my life.” #NailedIt
