A tentative deal has been reached between locked out workers at Sudbury Downs, Unifor and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Workers were locked out on September 19th after talks broke down between Unifor and OLG over a new retirement plan.

According to Unifor, the union representing the workers, as part of the OLG’s modernization plan, workers were no longer eligible for their current pension plan.

They say employees want a pension plan equivalent to what they have now when the casino is sold to a third party.

The deal also includes Casino Brantford and Woodbine Racetrack.
