The towns of Capreol and Coniston are both ‘award-winning’ when it comes to beautification and attracting visitors.

Both places were honoured during the Communities in Bloom Ontario 2015 awards, handed out at the end of September, in Perth.

Capreol was given four blooms with special mention for its Heritage Railroad Museum and Artifacts.

Coniston was awarded two blooms with special note for its Community Involvement.

The panel from the non-profit organization were in both towns in July to judge the communities on things like civic pride, beauty and environmental responsibility.
