The Sudbury Wolves defeated the North Bay Battalion 3-1 last night thanks to a game winning goal by Danny Desrochers and a stellar performance for Jake McGrath who picked up his first OHL win.

Head Coach David Matsos says there have been a number of games the Wolves deserved to win and the team was getting discouraged.

Alan Lyzczarczyk, Danny Desrochers, and Chad Heffernan all had goals for the Wolves who snapped a five game losing streak with the win.

McGrath got his first win in his first OHL start stopping 37 of 38 shots.

The pack are back on the ice today in Niagara before heading to Hamilton on Sunday.
