Two more first nation communities in Northwestern Ontario have been evacuated because of forest fires posing a threat in their area.

As of yesterday there were over 150 active forest fires in the northwest part of the province, with more in Manitoba.

77 of those are not under control.

Vulnerable residents from North Spirit Lake First Nation and Cat Lake First Nation have been evacuated.

In total over 2,500 people have been evacuated and moved to host communities, Timmins, Thunder Bay and here in Sudbury.
