If you and your family has opted out of traditional trick-or-treating this year, don’t worry! There are still some awesome local attractions you can check out, while staying safe, to get into the Halloween spirit!

  1. You may want to head to Hanmer! There, you’ll find several various attractions put together by people who have taken their love of Halloween and turned it into a spooky experience for people of all ages. 4664 Jacqueline St. has been transformed into a giant pirate ship and haunted house.  4429 Saint Mary Blvd. is another Hanmer address you’ll want to check out!
  2. It’s the final night (Friday, October 30th) to check out Halloween at Dynamic Earth! This is a ticketed event, outdoors, masks required. You will also need to pre-book a time slot to allot for the limited capacity. Pumpkinferno, the Big Nickel Hallloween Show, ghost stories, bon fires to warm up at, a scavenger hunt for the kids and more! Tickets & into available here: https://www.sciencenorth.ca/halloween
  3. Horizon Drive-In is hosting a classic Halloween Drive-In movie experience in the New Sudbury Centre parking lot on Saturday, October 31st. Parking is first come first serve in the designated parking areas.  Movie line up:
7 p.m. The Nightmare before Christmas
    10 p.m. Ghostbusters

    4. It’s also the final evening (Friday, October 30th) for the Haunted Heights Trail in Val Caron. It opens at 8pm, the last entry is at 10:55. Ages 8 & up (8-16 must be accompanied by an adult). The trail takes about 7-10 mins to go through. The entry fee is a minimum 2 non-perishable food items, human or pet. Tips for crew are welcomed (and appreciated). No ticket or appointments, mask required in the admission shed. Expect long line ups, but it tends to move fairly quick. Parts of the trail are a bit muddy. No pets. More information on Facebook, just search “Haunted Heights Trail”.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, have fun, stay safe (and hopefully warm & dry)! Happy Halloween, from The Cory & Jamie Show!
