Not a bad deal getting to spend a summer evening eating ice cream and throwing a party for some well-deserving athletes! It’s never too late in the day for ice cream, so Chelsea and I started our night off at the Dairy Queen on Lorne Street. I deviated from my regular Summer Berry Cheesecake Blizzard and got to make the Cookie Jar Blizzard which was absolutely delicious! If you haven’t tried it yet it is Oreo crumbles, cookie dough, hot fudge, and famous DQ soft serve. Chelsea stuck with a classic, and made herself a Cotton Candy Blizzard. We got to make life a little sweeter for some visitors, with DQ gift cards so that they could try the limited edition Jurassic Chomp with peanut butter Blizzard! After establishing our sugar rush, we headed over to the Beatrice soccer fields behind Adanac Ski Hill for our soccer party.

This week’s lucky winner was Sudbury Sport and Spine who got treated with pizza from Toppers Pizza, Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen, and water from KUPP indoor play center. While these local athletes got to take a much needed break, Chelsea and I got to work on our mediocre to below average soccer skills.
