Sudbury’s unemployment rate is down almost two per cent from where it was last year.

According to Statistics Canada the jobless rate for Sudbury was 6.6 per cent for June, down from 8.4 per cent for the same time in 2016.

As for month to month, there was no change from May to June as the local numbers held at 6.6.

The national unemployment rate also fell slightly to 6.5 per cent from 6.6 after 45,300 jobs were added to the economy.
