Another beautiful day in Sunny Sudbury!

Sunday we started off the day at the Pet Value Walk for Dog Guides, where I was able to meet some of the most beautiful dogs in town! I also had the pleasure of spending the morning with the Sudbury Lions Club. This walk was to help raise money for those who are in need of guide dogs and it’s incredible to see how hard the Sudbury Lions Club is working to ensure everyone in the community is able to receive all the help may need.

After my visit with the Sudbury Lions Club and some gorgeous dogs, I had an delicious lunch with the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer, where I was able to hear some of the heartfelt thank youse some of the families had for the NOAC. It’s amazing to see how much they do for the community and for those families who are fighting a battle with cancer. The NOAC invited Ed to speak about some of the struggles he has gone through in the past along with how the NOAC has helped him fight and beat his battle with cancer. Ed told us that he did not have a stable living condition at the time of his diagnosis, so his grandfather took him in to try and help out. That cause a lot of stress on the family. To make things even tougher, Ed was a high school student while he was battling cancer. The NOAC and Ed’s love for music helped him through this tough time! Ed is now cancer free.
