It didn’t take long for candidates to question each other at a Federal NDP Leadership Debate held in Sudbury over the weekend.

Pat Stogran wasn’t convinced with an answer given by Ontario politician Jagmeet Singh on what it will take to connect with voters.

Topics ranged from connecting to voters, supporting small northern towns and best advise your mother gave you.

That was Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus.

Peter Julian and the other candidates also had a lengthy talk on the recently picked leader of the PC party, Andrew Sheer.

There are six candidates vying for the NDP leadership position with the winner running up against Sheer and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Sudbury was the third of eight stops across the country for the candidates.

The final debate for the NDP’s will be held in September.
