With the weather warming up and the snow all but gone, the time for street sweeping begins.

The city is in it’s first contract year with Jara Sweeping who will begin on Tuesday with operations lasting until early June.

They will focus on high priorities areas like business centres and the Sudbury Rocks Marathon route first.

Residents are asked not to put garbage or recycling on roads and to remove hockey and basketball nets until sweeping is complete.

Also avoid parking on streets during sweeping periods.
