This Friday and Saturday, former Sudburian Leisa Way will present “Oh Canada, We Sing For Thee” at the Sudbury Theatre Centre.

Born in Kitchener and raised in Sudbury, music was a passion for Leisa and by age 16 she had already sang solo concerts for Queen Elizabeth, Terry Fox, Teddy Kennedy, Wayne Gretzky and been asked to sing the national anthem at the Special Olympics, the Labatt Curling Brier and for a Canada-Russia hockey game!

Leisa worked as a marketing/publicity person for various theatres in Canada, and these skills were extremely beneficial when she decided to begin producing and creating shows.  Leisa has now created eight hugely successful concerts including “Oh Canada” that have performed to sold-out houses at over 60 theatres across Canada.

Call the STC offices for tickets (705) 674-8381 or go HERE to order them.

I spoke with Leisa about coming back to the city and her show.
