For the second straight month Sudbury’s unemployment rate fell, although slightly.

According to Statistics Canada, the unemployment rate for the Nickel City was down to 7.9 per cent in February, from 8 per cent the month before and 8.4 per cent in December.

Despite the drop Sudbury is still tied for the fifth highest rate in the country, among major cities.

Across the country 15 thousand jobs were added to the economy causing unemployment rate to drop to 6.6 per cent, from 6.8 in January.
