Three young males between 17 and 19 are facing charges that include carrying a concealed weapon after an armed holdup on MacKenzie street Wednesday night around 5.

Two men left a vehicle and approached a male while allegedly showing a knife and baton, demanding money and his cell phone.

He complied and the suspects drove off. A short time later, officers found the vehicle in the same area and arrested three young people.

Around 2 am on Wednesday, a home invasion robbery happened at a residence on Notre Dame where a man was chased out of his home and assaulted.

Four males and a female got into the home and demanded money and drugs.

Police say one suspect was in possession of a knife.

The victim fled from the home, was chased down, assaulted and suffered a cut to the left ear.

But it was because of that, a witness called police to notify them of the situation.

So far police have arrested a 36-year old female and a 44-year old male, while police believe the robbery was not random.
