Who is Playing Tonya Harding in Biopic? Ed Sheeran & Baby Spice & Nick Cannon Defends Ex-Wife Mariah Carey.

Margot Robbie looks astonishingly like disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding in the upcoming film I, Tonya. The 26-year-old actress was photographed on the set of the film on Monday, donning frizzly blonde hair and high-waisted jeans. I, Tonya will look  back at Harding’s 1994 attack of rival skater Nancy Kerrigan. The scandal saw Harding’s ex-husband and bodyguard hiring a hitman to brutally club Kerrigan in the knee before that year’s Winter Olympics. Harding avoided jail time by pleading guilty to hindering the prosecution.

During a recent appearance on Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton’s radio show Heart Breakfast, Ed Sheeran and the former girl group member decided to join forces for an impromptu performance. Bunton shared a clip on Instagram that showed her and Sheeran singing the Spice Girls‘ 1998 hit “Goodbye” together. “I could be Ginger Spice!” Sheeran declared. “You could so be Ginger Spice,” Bunton replied. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter went on to reference Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell’s iconic look from the 1997 Brit Awards by joking to Bunton, “If you get me the Union Jack dress, I’ll try and squeeze in it.”

During a recent appearance on Ellen, Nick Cannon defended his ex-wife Mariah Carey from backlash over her cringe-inducing New Year’s Eve performance. “I’m a conspiracy theorist. I think the government did that!,” he quipped about the diva’s onstage disaster at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. “They set her up! That was a distraction.” The 36-year-old went on to say that Mariah’s awkward moment was due to technical difficulties. “Anyone who knows about performing and having inner ears and stuff like that, things like that can go wrong on live television,” he explained. “I screw up on America’s Got Talent all the time. When there’s people in your ears, saying things and stuff, I think she got kinda got a little flustered, but being the diva that she is, she was like, ‘I’m just going to walk around and pose.’ Like Ryan Seacrest said, ‘She can do no wrong.’”
