UPDATE

Greater Sudbury Police are saying one person has died as a result of a crash that closed MR-35 near Notre Dame Street on Monday.

Four people were transported to hospital with injuries and one of the vehicles drivers, 86-year old Sylvia McCoy, passed away in hospital as a result of her injuries.

The collision is still being investigated.

Four people were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries after a serious mid-day collision in Azilda.

Greater Sudbury Police traffic management officers say the incident occured around 2 pm Monday at the corner of Municipal Road 35 and Notre Dame Street.

The road was re-opened just over an hour later.
