Uh-oh, it looks like Calvin Harris is about to have a song written about him. Us Weekly reports that the 32-year-old DJ and Taylor Swift have called it quits after 15 months of dating. “It just wasn’t working anymore,” a source told Us Weekly yesterday of the split, adding that the “Bad Blood” singer is “OK.” While the duo celebrated their one year anniversary with a tropical getaway in March, they were last photographed driving together in Los Angeles on May 5. Swift has previously been linked to Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner. Meanwhile, Harris last dated Rita Ora.

Oscar-winner Brie Larson is one step closer to becoming a real-life superhero after being named the frontrunner to play Captain Marvel. According to Variety, Larson is Marvel’s first choice to portray the popular female superhero and that she is leaning toward playing the part in a standalone film. It’s unknown at this time what other actresses are in the running and where negotiations stand. Marvel has yet to comment on the story. In the meantime, Larson can be seen next in Ben Wheatley’s Free Fireopposite Armie Hammer.

After Amber Heard showed up in court last week with bruises on her face while seeking a restraining order against estranged husband Johnny Depp, Entertainment Tonight has published alleged screenshots from a conversation in which the actress discusses being kicked by the actor. In the exchange, which allegedly took place in May 2014 (four months after the couple’s engagement), Heard and Depp’s assistant Stephen Deuters discuss his violent behavior. “He’s incredibly apologetic and knows that he has done wrong. He wants to get better now,” reads a text attributed to Deuters. ” Meanwhile, People has published photos reportedly taken in December that show the actress with a cut lip and bruised eye–injuries she allegedly sustained after Depp attacked her in a domestic dispute. The outlet notes that the pics were taken by one of Heard’s friends and seemingly correspond to her claim in a court filing that “there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life.” Depp’s attorney has claimed that Heard is “attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.
