Police are investigating the parents of the 4-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla’s enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo and had to be rescued by a team that shot the endangered animal to death. Reuters reports that investigators will look into parents’ actions leading up to the incident and discuss with prosecutors whether charges should be filed. Meanwhile, USDA will determine if there were any violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The boy involved in Saturday’s incident went under a rail through wires and over a moat wall to get into the pen of the 17-year-old silverback, named Harambe. Footage recorded by an eyewitness shows the gorilla pawing at the boy as the crowd screams and eventually dragging him across the enclosure. Following the incident, social media users slammed the boy’s parent, Michelle Gregg, for not keeping a closer eye on her son and claimed she was responsible for Harambe’s death. Others criticized the zoo for killing Harambe instead of tranquilizing him.

Emily Blunt and Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda will star together in Disney’s upcoming Mary Poppins live-action adaptation Mary Poppins Returns. Blunt will play Poppins and Miranda will play a new character, a street lamplighter named Jack. USA Todayreports that the sequel to the 1965 classic will take place in Depression-era London and follow a now-grown Jane and Michael Bangs, along with Michael’s three children. “Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, (Mary Poppins) helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives,” Disney’s press release reads. Mary Poppins Returns will be directed and produced by Rob Marshall and is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2018.

Dan Akyroyd says that the new Ghostbusters reboot is better than both the original 1984 movie and its 1989 sequel that he starred in as Ray Stantz. “Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films plus Bill Murray is in it!” he wrote on Facebook yesterday. “As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I’m paying to see that and bringing all my friends!” Of course, Aykroyd is going to say that–he’s listed as a writer and producer for the reboot.
