Matthew Perry says he can barely remember three years of filming “Friends” because he was “so out of it”. The actor, who played Chandler Bing has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past, and admits he battled memory problems during the late 1990s. When he was asked to name his favourite “Friends” episode, his response was, “I don’t remember three years of it, so none of those… I was a little out of it at the time… Somewhere between seasons three and six.” As for Perry’s fluctuation in weight over the years filming, he has blamed substance abuse and rehab. “I’m a pretty private person but I was on a TV show that 30 million people were watching so people knew,” he said. “It was very public what was happening to me.”
